The excitement is building for the big day and we are very much looking forward to sharing this special time with you. Christmas is the season of goodwill, bringing people together to share their hopes, joy and love. And there is no better place to celebrate the festive season with friends and family than here at The Queen’s Head in the beautiful village of West Bergholt. We can promise you a warm welcome and hope everyone will eat, drink and be merry.

Our Christmas menu has won a reputation for its appetising selection including favourites such as Ham Hock Terrine, Lamb Shanks and Vanilla Crème Brûlée with homemade shortbread. Tuesday 23rd December 2025 – Christmas Draw
It’s back by popular demand! Join us for the brilliant Christmas Draw from 7pm as the excitement builds towards Christmas Day. There will be fun and laughter to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. Wear your best Christmas jumper and get a free pint and dance the night away to our DJ’s festive mix until midnight. We’ll be open from noon serving up delicious dishes from our Autumn/Winter menu until 6.30pm so why not enjoy a late lunch or early dinner before the party starts?
Wednesday 24th December 2025 – Christmas Eve
Just one more sleep until the big day and we want to make the most of every second. Our fabulous Christmas Eve breakfast will be served from 9am until noon with our tasty lunch menu on offer from noon until 5pm. Booking is essential so get in touch to secure your spot. When the kitchen closes, the festivities will carry on and we will stay open until 9pm for drinks. We’d like to point out there is no coffee morning on Christmas Eve – there’s simply too much else to do!
Thursday 25th December 2025 – Christmas Day
Happy Christmas everyone! We are sure all our wonderful customers are on Father Christmas’ good list so there will be plenty of presents to open. However, if you want to raise a toast then come and join us at the Queen’s Head for a festive tipple. We will be open for drinks and good company from 11am to 3pm.
Friday 26th December 2025 – Boxing Day Two or Three Course Set Menu
Christmas Day is wonderful, but it can also be exhausting so let us take care of you on Boxing Day. The Queen’s Head will be open from 10am to 10pm to offer winter warmers and great conversation. It’s also the perfect way to keep the celebrations going and to catch up with family and friends who you didn’t see on Christmas Day. We will be serving food from our two or three course set menu from noon to 6pm but you must book your place in advance. We can’t wait to see you.
Wednesday 31st December 2025 – New Year’s Eve
The last day of 2025…where has that year gone? We will be beginning the celebrations for the new year with a delicious breakfast served from 9am to noon. Our full menu will be on offer from noon until 5pm and the bar will be open for drinks, chat and laughter until 9pm leaving you plenty of time to get back to enjoy your New Year’s Eve parties or to watch the fireworks as they welcome in 2026. Booking is essential for dining at any point throughout the day. There’s no coffee morning today but that will return in the new year.
Thursday 1st January 2026 – New Year’s Day
Happy New Year to you all and we hope 2026 is a great one for you. If you stayed up late to see in the new year, what better way to start the year than with a restorative cooked breakfast? We know they really hit the spot after dancing the night away so we will be serving mouthwatering breakfasts all day from 10am until 6pm. Booking is essential so please get in touch as soon as possible. We will also be staying open until 10pm for drinks and chats.
Friday 2nd January 2026
Normal service is resumed as 2026 gets into full flow but we have plenty of events planned for the year ahead which we are sure you will love. Keep checking in to our website for more information.
