Welcome to 2026 and to our fantastic new menu. Every year, we look to create mouth-watering new dishes to tempt and delight our customers and this year is no exception. We have combined the latest food trends with some classic traditional meals to ensure there is something for everyone.
As always, flavour rules supreme in our dishes and we use the freshest produce for the finest taste.

Dinner Time
The Queen’s Head is a country pub you’ll want to visit again and again, the perfect place to unwind with friends and family or to enjoy a delicious meal. Our family-run hostelry is at the heart of the community and the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion and make wonderful memories. Our menu offers something for everyone whether it is a midweek treat or a red-letter day. Everyone will leave with a full tummy and a happy heart.
Starters
Whether you want to revisit your favourite starter or try something new, we know you won’t be disappointed. Our starters include delightfully smooth Chicken Liver Pate laced with whiskey and served with caramelised onion chutney and seasalt crisp breads, Traditional Prawn Cocktail with buttered sourdough and Salt and Pepper Squid with a salad garnish and garlic aioli. Alternatively, you might like to indulge with Breaded Mushrooms or Bourbon BBQ Pork Belly Bites topped with sesame seeds. Your only problem will be which one to choose.
Mains
Of course, we would not be The Queen’s Head without our legendary fish and chips on the menu, served with chunky chips and homemade tartar sauce. Our mains are sure to leave our customers with the warm sense of satisfaction which only comes with a perfect meal. Other highlights on our new menu include Slow Braised Pork Belly served with wholegrain mustard mash with a red wine jus. Our customers are also sure to love the Queen’s Head Pie of the Day served with buttered mash and seasonal vegetables or you could spoil yourself with Homemade Lasagne served with chunky chips or our Homemade Curry of the Day with rice, naan and poppadom. A Halloumi Burger coated in pimento with sweet chilli jam might take your fancy or you might opt for a Hunter’s Chicken Burger complete with Bourbon BBQ sauce and Monterey Jack cheese. For the traditionalists, we will still be offering our Queen’s Head Burger, topped with streaky bacon and Monterey Jack cheese.
Desserts
No meal is complete without a delicious dessert and we have some absolute classics for you. Top of the list is our Homemade Steamed Syrup Sponge served with piping hot custard or for the chocoholics, there is our Chocolate and Caramel Cake or our Homemade Chocolate Brownie… pure luxury. For those looking for a fan favourite, why not try Homemade Baked Vanilla Cheesecake. You’ll love it!
Let’s Lunch
There is nothing quite so relaxing as a pub lunch and we are sure you will love our lunch menu. If you are looking for a lighter lunch, have a look at our brilliant bar menu which features QH Loaded Nachos, ½ Kilo of Loaded Fries with Hunter’s Chicken, cheeseburger sauce and onions, Chilli and Cheese or Homemade Curry of the Day. Lip-smackingly delicious! We can also offer you sandwiches with the best loved selections of fillings such as Classic Prawn Cocktail and Marie Rose sauce, Cheese and Pickle and Traditional BLT. If you fancy a baguette, you will be torn between one filled with Southern Fried Chicken Goujons, Brie, Bacon and Cranberry Sauce or one of our other appetising selections. We’ll also be offering piping hot jacket potatoes with a choice of two toppings as well as salad and homemade coleslaw. If you want to go old school, choose from our famous pub classics including delicious Procter’s Pigs featuring sausages in bacon, Homemade Lasagne and Chilli and the Curry of the Day.
Our lunch menu is served Tuesday–Saturday from noon until 5pm and we’d recommend you call in advance to book your table.
Sunday Best
Sundays mean one thing at The Queen’s Head – our legendary roasts. We are introducing some new taste sensations to this pub lunch staple including Pork Loin, Gammon and Butternut Squash Wellington or you can choose a Trio of Meats. Each is served with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings, pigs in blanket and creamy cauliflower cheese. The Sunday menu will be served from 12 noon to 5:30pm and if you don’t fancy a roast, our main menu will be sure to have something to tempt you.
Hearty Breakfasts
Everyone loves a breakfast and at The Queen’s Head we will make sure you don’t go hungry. Served from 10am to noon on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, you can choose from a range of meals which will set you up for the day. Our Doorstep Breakfast Sandwiches are packed with either sausage or bacon – or both! Then there is the QH Full English with both vegetarian and vegan alternatives. For those wanting a lighter meal, choose either Eggs Benedict or Mushroom Benedict or you could go Stateside and tuck into Homemade American Pancakes… delicious!

Food is served every day from Tuesday through to Sunday at The Queen’s Head, with breakfast available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
